The business manufactures blasting machine and booths.
The wheelabrator machines have multiple wheels to throw shot at various components. There are typically three different types of mahines:
- Hanger machines
- Plate cleaner type machines
- Tumbling machines

Hanger machines are typically for larger components such as large forgings. We have a number of machines installed at rail manufacturing forging plants around South Africa. These machines can be configured either is in-out style rooms or continuous flow conveyor type processes.
Plate cleaners can clean flat plates but can also be configured to clean other fairly uniform parts such as support beams for rail wagons. The machines are typcially designed to accommodate parts from about 80mm to 3500mm wide.
Tumbling machines are designed to clean components that are typically lighter than the parts placed in Hanger machines. Parts up to about 20kg can be clean in tumbling machines. The parts are placed on a moving belt and continually fall over on top of each other whilst a wheel throws shot on the parts.
Blast booths are specially built for the rail industry. These include component booths and full size booths for locomotives. A booth will typically consist of a full material recycling and cleaning system consisting of scraper system, separator and dust collector. Booths can be supplied with multiple blast pots for increased productivity.
Booth airflow is designed to exceed industry requirements of 0.5 m/s. Lighting is protected and accessed from outside the booth.
Driven platforms along the length of the booth to allow operators to work at different heights can be installed.
